Dr. Akinyemi received his Ph. D. International Studies, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. 1994, his M.A. Political Science, Southern University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 1986, and his B.A. Political Science, State University of New York at Buffalo, 1985. He has taught courses on International Relations of Africa, Government & Politics of Africa, International Relations, Comparative Politics, Middle East Politics, Development Policy and Politics, and American Government. Dr. Akinyemi's research and publications include: Regional Economic Cooperation, International Water Resource Management, African Refugees, and China-African Relations.
