Dr. Lauren MacIvor Thompson is a historian of medicine, law, and women’s rights in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. She earned her Ph.D. in May 2016 from Georgia State University in Atlanta, where her research, publications, and teaching earned numerous awards, including a Certificate of Excellence in College Teaching by the GSU Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
