The College of Humanities and Social Sciences wishes to recognize the generosity of Dr. Rosa Bobia who has established the Dr. Rosa Bobia Endowed Scholarship for full- or part-time undergraduate students studying Modern Language and Culture or African and African Diaspora Studies. Scholarship support is becoming increasingly important to our student body, and this scholarship is renewable for up to four years for a student maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA. Dr. Bobia has a deep history with KSU; she taught here for over two decades, serving as Professor of French and Director of the Center for African and African Diaspora Studies (CAADS). Because she received scholarship support during college, her gift is even more meaningful as she strives to support the next generation of dedicated students in the subject areas dearest to her heart. Philanthropy and giving back to KSU have always been important as she made her first gift in 1990 and has given continuously since then. Dr. Bobia still lives in the area and has enjoyed watching Kennesaw State University grow and change the face of Cobb County over the years.
